EMPHASIS
Mmm, 2D design. I didn't have to pull an all-nighter this time, and I even enjoyed working on these! The assignment was to use different principles, such as color, value, and line direction, to create emphasis in the compositions. Since my artistic interests are limited to slacklining and powerlines, well... you get the picture.

POLITICS AND BULLSHIT
KK. Read this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/07/peter-king-occupy-wall-street_n_1000318.html
I know this is an art blog, but the snobbery and, I think, truly anti-american stance of Rep. Peter King moved me to write this. Not as formal as a typical letter to a representative, but I had to respond somehow.
Hey. My name's Adele. I just read an article recounting your interview with Laura Ingraham, in which you stated that the protesters of Occupy Wall Street "didn't deserve the attention they were getting." You compared them to the protesters of the 1960's, and lamented that "the media glorified them and it ended up shaping policy. We can't allow that to happen."
So, then, the American Revolution was also an overhyped "ragtag mob?" What about the civil rights movement? Should those protesters not have shaped policy? If the government isn't doing its job, then it is the people's duty to change the situation. You are the one who sounds "anti-american" when you chide citizens for speaking against a corrupt ridden government.
If you think these demonstrations are a cover-up for the inadequacies for the Obama administration, then what do you think about the on-going debate about gay marriage? I believe THAT is a talking point conservatives use to distract voters from things that actually matter... like a balanced budget, for instance.
When people don't protest to shape policy, tyrants gladly do it for them. Please don't forget the importance of the ordinary citizen in making things better. You make yourself sound like King George by dismissing us as "rabble," and how anti-american is that?
Thanks for your time. Listen to the people, not your lobbyists.
