Satsoo the fox

YEAAAH TA ONEEEEEEE. Cool stuff, yo. For my character design I wanted to make a fox that strayed away from the typical angular shapes we identify with the archetypical fox... just for fun. Satsoo's a dopey sock-puppet lookin' sorta chap.

Took me a long time to get his construction right. My friend Isaac (http://youvefoundit.tumblr.com/) actually folded an origami fox to help me understand the geometry. 

             Some in progress stuff. Working black and white in the beginning of a piece is challenging and restraining, but fun.

CHARACTER DESIGN! These are some of the foxes I've sketched up. Definitely falling into a pattern with some of them, but I'll keep sketching and not be generic.

Cafe sketch dump

CAFE SKETCHESSSSS. So, spring break was cool, except that I couldn't get all the work done that I needed to. Perspective is going to kill me. Fucking windmills! Now I know what Don Quixote had against them. But still. I love Georgia, and my grandparents. I miss the hills already.

I TRY TO DRAW SPACES MAN. SHIT AIN'T EASY. It's the attic of my grandparent's barn. And of course, Little Boy Derp offering Phathorse a lollipop. Deleted scene from our midterm. In other news, finally filled up my blue sketch book I've been nursing since fuckin' July. Moving on! Time to stop being so fearful about drawing and filling up books. Just gotta keep drawing, man.

BUNNNIIIIIIEEEEESSS

Midterm! This was for history of Animation. My friend JoAnn (http://soupytheoctopus.blogspot.com/) and I cranked this bad-boy out in four days before it was due. Fortunately, smear animation is inherently quicker to draw than traditional in-betweened animation; fewer drawings, you see. Twas fun.
